We’ve had some users express confusion over the vendor databases available in the system, particularly over which ones are for what industries and which ones are charged services.
Our most recent two additions are both for different trading card game singles. Scryfall, for Magic: the Gathering cards, Yu-Gi-Oh, for Yu-Gi-Oh cards, are both free databases available for all users. These include images of the cards, for those who that would be useful for.
Also free to all users is one of the music distributor databases, AMS. AMS, or All Media Supply, is a distributor focused particularly on imported vinyl and CDs.
Then, there are a category of database that require an account with the database provider. Discogs, a collector database for music requires you to link an account with them within the software before searching. AEC, or Alliance Entertainment, a distributor of music, games, and collectibles requires you to be an active customer of theirs, and you must have your sales representative get them to let us know that you should have access for this database. Both of these databases do not cost money, but do have these extra requirements. They also both feature product images.
Finally, there are three databases that are paid subscriptions.
First, Content@Ingram from Ingram Books requires you to have a subscription through them that carries a monthly fee. They’ll provide you with login details, which you then plug into the system. This database contains about 35 million books and other items, and can include product images if you subscribe to that level with Ingram.
Last but not least are the two video game databases that include used product, which are the only databases where you’ll subscribe through us. These are BRE and VGPC, both of which carry games dating back nearly 50 years with suggested pricing for both selling and trading. VGPC also offers multiple pricing styles you can work with. If you’re interested in subscribing to these, you can talk to us for more details.
